Once again, we are organizing a team representing the Harford County Lions Clubs to support cancer patients and families using the Cancer LifeNet programs at the Kaufman Cancer Center in Bel Air.   These programs provide free services such as Nurse Navigators, “look good feel good”, counseling, and nutrition services to cancer patients and families from Harford and Cecil county who are fighting cancer—regardless of where they may be receiving their actual cancer treatment.  Last year, our Harford County Lions Team goal was $2000 and we raised over $2000.   Our goal this year is to again raise at least $2000.   And every nickel stays here in Harford County.

Each year Cancer LifeNet helps over 1800 cancer patients and their families from across Harford and Cecil counties. Over the past 10 years, this event has raised over $1M for Cancer LifeNet. So now we are going for $2M.

This event is set for the morning of May 11 at the John Carroll School. You can support this effort by donating and/or walking with us on Saturday May 11.  (The walk is a few times around the football field). It’s a fun morning and then we go to breakfast or coffee!!

It’s a great way also for visibility of Lions in Harford County.  Wear your garb! Take a photo and post it!!
